Where Have You Been?

The Where Have You Been? podcast is all about the guest and their travel experiences. For those of us that love travel, we also love to talk about our experiences and hear those of others. No podcast I’ve found has simply been a casual conversation about where we’ve been and where we’re going - and what’s happened in-between. This podcast fills that void. You will hear from people from all walks of life as they discuss their experiences. Maybe they will inspire you to go somewhere new. Maybe they will spur memories from trips you have taken already. Either way, enjoy getting to know my guests and, week after week, listen as I ask the question - Where Have You Been? We hardly got a chance to talk about all of the places that he has been, but tell me in the comments how much you like the episode and hopefully I will get him back on again in the future. From his battle with liver disease and other real life happenings, to his fascination with dark travel, the experiences Chad has had are not just entertaining, but amazing!

Starting with his early life in Cleveland, Ohio and culminating with so many really incredible stories from his years living in Hawaii and traveling all around the islands - and so much in-between...Jimbo entertains us with stories of fun, craziness, and lots of culture. Today we get some incredible stories with my friend Renato. Renato was born in Lima, Peru and even just his story of why his family moved to the states is incredible. We barely scratch the surface on where Renato has been...but get ready to hear about what happens when you accidentally end up in the geisha district, communicating through karaoke, a near hi-jacking...and some other really fantastic and touching stories. Relax and enjoy this episode. It's lengthy - but I promise it could be 10x longer and we'd still be talking. This is another good one, folks! Thanks for being here! (Apologies for my overstating the elevation in Cusco - it's more like 11k feet above sea level!)

Continuing with my friend, Derek Cole. In part two Derek tells incredible stories about meeting the likes of Buzz Aldrin and William Shatner; playing celebrity pool games and being interviewed by Judd Nelson; kayaking into the ocean in Australia; getting once-in-a-lifetime access to backstage at Cirque du Soleil; and so very much more. It's a HIGHLY entertaining hour plus. I hope you enjoy - please like, subscribe, and comment. I appreciate you!

In episode 2 of the pod, I talked with a long-time friend of mine, Derek Cole. Derek and I both grew up in Jamestown, NY, but he has been in Los Angeles, California, for a quarter-century. We spoke for so long I had to split it into two parts. In this episode we talk a lot about how he developed his love for travel, and what travelling means to him. We touch on many places in North America in this episode. If you like what you hear with Derek today, just wait until the next episode when we head outside of the country and hear more of his exploits in tv and movies. It's a fantastic listen! Enjoy!

Welcome to episode 1 of the Where Have You Been travel podcast. Today we will hear from Western New Yorker, Brian Hasson, as he talks about his love of travel, how it all started, and what his plans are for the future. It's a walk down memory lane for Brian and I learned a lot from his experiences. I hope you do, as well.
*Sound quality is not as good as this was a recorded phone call. It was a "trial" of what the pod would sound like, but, I loved this conversation so much that I had to make it the first episode. Thank you, Brian!*

Welcome to the Where Have You Been? Podcast. My name is Bill Roehm. I've been traveling since I was a young child, but the "travel bug" really hit me in 2016 when I first traveled abroad. Since then, I've been in many places all over the world. In this introduction I wanted to introduce myself, and also explain my intention for the podcast - and what sets this apart from the 1000s of "travel pods" that exist already. I've searched all over the web and have found similar ideas...similar concepts...but nothing quite like this. I'm not saying it doesn't exist - but I haven't seen it. Either way, I am passionate about sharing the stories of others, and this is the best way I know how to do it. Please take a listen to the intro and I hope you'll continue on this journey as we get to know some incredible people through their words and their travel experiences. Welcome to the Where Have You Been? Podcast!
