Where Have You Been? - Travel Stories

The Where Have You Been? podcast is all about the guest and their travel experiences. For those of us that love travel, we also love to talk about our experiences and hear those of others. No podcast I’ve found has simply been a casual conversation about where we’ve been and where we’re going - and what’s happened in-between. This podcast fills that void. You will hear from people from all walks of life as they discuss their experiences. Maybe they will inspire you to go somewhere new. Maybe they will spur memories from trips you have taken already. Either way, enjoy getting to know my guests and, week after week, listen as I ask the question - Where Have You Been? Funny story. When I came up with the name for this podcast, I knew it was the only choice for me. That said, I knew I needed to see if there were any others out there with the same title. That was when I stumbled upon a pod named "Where Have You Been, Bitch?" I thought, well, that's close but not the same, so I'm good.
As time went on, I was keeping an eye on how my pod was doing in Google searches...and Jane's kept creeping into the results! So I listened to a few episodes - and I LOVED what she's doing! I just love conversational podcasts, I guess...so I decided to reach out. What you'll hear today is the first half of the result of our connection - me on the flip side of the microphone with someone who I now consider a friend. It was so much fun - Jane is a natural host and a really relaxing conversationalist and it comes through. She's a truly great human being and I'm so glad we connected.
So, please, enjoy this bonus episode...and if you do (I mean...it's all about me this time, so, who knows???), then stay tuned because Jane is also MY next guest this coming Sunday! And it was GREAT!! I can't wait for you to hear my longest single episode yet (crazy, right!!??). Also - please head to her pod and like and subscribe there, as well! You won't regret it. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/where-have-you-been-bitch/id1752328496

We talked about the art of the interview, being open to new experiences, connecting with others through language barriers, doing things that scare us, and having everything you need already at home:) Thank you Bill!

Today we get some incredible stories with my friend Renato. Renato was born in Lima, Peru and even just his story of why his family moved to the states is incredible. We barely scratch the surface on where Renato has been...but get ready to hear about what happens when you accidentally end up in the geisha district, communicating through karaoke, a near hi-jacking...and some other really fantastic and touching stories. Relax and enjoy this episode. It's lengthy - but I promise it could be 10x longer and we'd still be talking. This is another good one, folks! Thanks for being here! (Apologies for my overstating the elevation in Cusco - it's more like 11k feet above sea level!)
